Who doesn’t like a good spade…. correction who doesn’t like a collection of great spades and the story of how they where made ??

Step back in time and discover the origins of the humble spade. A walk around the old mill and a guided tour of the grounds. I didn’t know what to expect when I decided to go here with my Dad, we both had never been so decided to jump in the car and head out.

The tour starts with a walk around inside the old mills themselves still in use for demonstration purposes, its good to see how things were done in the olden days.

After seeing how things were done inside the tour goes outside around all the grounds with the tour guide describing all the workings of the mill.

For something different I really enjoyed the tour and walk around the mill. I’d say the tour lasted about an hour around well kept grounds…… definitely worth a quick visit.
